The set is packed with songs from the Great American Songbook from George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Rodgers & Hart, Cole Porter. A musical tribute to Louis & Ella!Plus some our own arrangements & original songs,very much in the style of Louis and Ella!

Dave Cottle is a vastly experienced professional musician

with a wealth of musical experience.   Since 1995, Dave has been the resident house pianist  at SWANSEA JAZZ CLUB   

(The UK’s longest running weekly Jazz Club, founded 1949 )  

He and his trio have accompanied 100’s of Jazz artists from all over the world & is adept at playing many different styles of music. Dave has been Artistic Director at Swansea Jazz since 1995, arranging the weekly programme of events PLUS all the events at the annual

 SWANSEA INTERNATIONAL JAZZ FESTIVAL that Dave founded in 2014. 

(Close on 4000 gigs & concerts arranged by Dave over the last 30 years in his cqpacity as Artistic Director of bioh the club and  the Festival)

 

As a session musician he has worked with countless theatre and touring shows and his own dance band DC PARTY & DANCE BAND has played at 1000's of functions, dinners & Weddings

The Louis & Ella shows gibes Dave an opportunity to showcase his mastery of playing Trumpet and Piano at the same time,  in homage to two of his most influential Jazz Musicians, Louis Armstrong & Oscar Peterson.  Dave also adds vocals to the set.

 

Since her graduation from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama with a Masters Degree in Jazz Vocals SARAH MEEK has firmly established herself as a fine jazz & session vocalist  with an engaging stage presence & personality.  Sarah also plays piano and guitar and is Musical Director of the ACCORDIA Choir based in Cardiff

 

The Show is always performed with great humour and engagement with the audience, & has regularly SOLD OUT at Festivals/Clubs & Concerts around the UK.

The musicians are all seasoned professionals and in addition to performing the show as a concert we can provide the music as a backdrop for Wedding Receptions,Functions, Dinners,  Swing Dances & Parties  The band is adaptable to switch to a party/dance/pop music set and have performed the party/dance set Hotel Venues/Weddings & Arenas. We can also provide recorded background music and DJ dance set  The complete Live Band Package.
